The salary scale for the post is (as at 01/03/2023 – aligned to grade code 3877 Senior Medical Scientist):
€56,130 - 58,662 - 60,909 - 63,207 -65,577*

The successful candidate will work in a full-time (35 hours/week) permanent post in the Cardiothoracic Theatre, Cork University Hospital, Wilton, Cork, Ireland.
This centre performs 400 adult Cardiac procedures per year in 2 modern theatres.
The successful applicant will offer a comprehensive specialist clinical perfusion service during both elective and emergency procedures. They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and be highly motivated.
They will be required to participate in our 24-hour on-call service. Candidates must have good communication skills with excellent English, both written and verbal. Candidates must possess a valid work permit to work within Ireland.
All applicants are required to hold current accreditation with the Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland, and registration with the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists.
