The diversity that exists between us can unintentionally create a landscape of inequality, discrimination and exclusion. The Society of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland (SCPS) is dedicated to providing an inclusive and diverse professional organisation committed to fairness and equality, supporting and promoting the highest professional standards in the spirit of respect and compassion – for our patients and each other. The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Group aims to promote equality, diversity and inclusion within SCPS and monitor progress made towards these values within the perfusion profession.
1. Transform our Society to ensure we reflect the values of equality, diversity and inclusion within our structures.
2. Engage with the membership on matters related to equality, diversity and inclusion.
3. Lead the profession through engagement with other professional bodies and organisations.
1. The subcommittee shall be composed of both SCPS and CCPS members.
2. The tenure of each subcommittee member shall be one year, renewable as appropriate, with the consent of the subcommittee and SCPS Chairs. The date of all subcommittee members shall be taken to be the date of the Annual General Meeting at the Annual Congress of SCPS/CCPS.
3. The subcommittee may, with prior approval, co-opt any SCPS member qualified to assist or advise the subcommittee. Invitations to co-opted members whom the Chairperson wishes to remain as co-opts on the subcommittee should be renewed annually.
